Zhai XiaoyanFemaleAssociate Professor

Zhai Xiaoyan (1971.6—), associate professor of Northwest University (NWU), was born in Fuping County, Shaanxi province. She got her MA in Western Literature from the Graduate School of Xi’an International Studies University and is now a member of The Research Center of Linguistics and Literature, School of Foreign Languages of NWU. Between Aug., 2007 and Aug. 2008, Zhai studied at St. Thomas University in the U.S., where she focused her academic efforts on western literary Criticism and British & American Literature, especially Narratology and literary aesthetics. In recent years, she has published several academic papers, chaired or participated over 10 research programs at state, municipal and university levels. In 2010, she recensed the thesis format of the School of Foreign Languages of NWU to secure its conformity to the latest MLA standards.

Zhai has been teaching college English for up to 20 years, her students ranging from undergraduates to graduates to doctorial students. And she is now also teaching Interpreting to the MTI class of NWU.
