Field of Research: English Foreign Language Teaching, English Language and Culture, history and culture, intercultural communication
Education: 1992.9-1996.7,studied in Foreign Language Department of Northwest University and awarded Bachelor’s Degree on English Language and Literature in 1996; 2000.9-2003.7,studied in College of Foreign Languages of Northwest University, and awarded Master’s Degree on English Language and Literature in 2003; 2004.9-2009.7, studied in Institute of Middle East Studies of Northwest University, and awarded Doctor’s Degree in 2009; studied and researched in Salzburg University and Vienna University in 2006-2007.
Working Experience: taught in Xi’An Institute of Finance and Economics as an English teacher from July 1996 to June 2003; has been teaching in College of Foreign Languages, Northwest University since 2003; promoted lecturer in 2001; promoted associate professor in 2008
Research Projects: has accomplished several research projects at different levels as directors and finished several other projects as cooperators, including Research Projects for Young Faculties of Northwest University, Innovating Project for Graduate Students, Xi’an Social Science Planning Projects, Scientific Research Program Funded by Shaanxi Provincial Education Department, etc.
Publications: has published nearly 20 pieces of research papers on celebrated academic journals such as Journal of Northwest University, Journal of Language Teaching and Research, Journal of Shaanxi Normal University, etc. The papers are focused on the study of foreign language teaching, the study of the relationship between English Language and culture, history and culture, intercultural communication, etc. Part of the papers published are as the follows: Memorization in EFL Learning , A Historic View of English in China, An Analysis on Learning Autonomy of College Students about English Learning, Culture Awareness in Language Learning, Culture Teaching in College English, Context and its Application in Advertising, and so on.
