I was born in Fuping, Shaanxi in 1972. After getting a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, I graduated from Northwest University in July,1997. At the same time , I began my teaching career in Xi’an Institute of Technology. Due to the need of my job, I returned to my alma mater and got a chance to study further for a master’s degree in September, 2001. Graduating with a master’s degree in 2004, I started to work as a teacher in Northwest University. I have been teaching College English since 2004, so linguistics and teaching methodology, cross-cultural communication are the focus of my research. In past years, I cooperated with other colleagues and finished some projects approved by Education Department of Shaanxi Province and Social science Office of Shaanxi Province, such as “Research of Laozi in the 20th Century Western World from Culture-consciousness Angle” and “Research of English Versions of Public Signs in the Commercial Field Of Shaanxi Province”, and published academic articles in Journal of Northwest University and Foreign Language Education like “Cultural Analysis of the Differences between English and Chinese Language Structures” and “A Survey of English Versions of Present Public Signs in the Commercial Field of Shaanxi Province”.
