Lecturer

 Yi Chunfang is a lecturer at the School of Foreign Language Studies in Northwest University. Born in Changde, Hunan province, she came to study English language and literature in the year of 1999 in Northwest University, where she got a Bachelor’s degree, continued her graduate education and finally got her Master’s degree. She works as a teacher in the same college after graduation. The courses she teaches include Reading Comprehension, Listening Training, and Translation Skills for graduate students and Comprehensive English for undergraduates. She also participated in a number of research programs, including Language teaching for non-English-major Graduates sponsored by Northwest University Humanities Research Fund, Language Features of News in English and English Translation of Chinese Public Signs, both sponsored by the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province. The program she was in charge of was A Research into English Syntactic Rhetoric and Their Translation. She also published several articles, including A Postcolonial Interpretation of the Two Translated Texts of The Tempest, Rereading of Kipling and His Kim from the Perspective of Postcolonial Studies, Comparison of the Two Translated Texts of Letter from An Unknown Woman from the Feminist Translation Perspective etc. Her research interest is mainly in English Fiction and is presently a candidate for a Doctor’s Degree in English Language and Literature in Nanjing University.
