On the morning of June 5, 2024, the school held a “Special Meeting on Undergraduate Teaching Work for the First Half of the Year”. The school's Party and administrative leadership, academic affairs staff, and department heads and deputy heads attended the meeting. The discussion focused on issues such as graduation qualification reviews and program optimization, and relevant response measures were proposed.

Liu Jianbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, gave a brief overview of the graduation qualification review process and emphasized the need to coordinate efforts across departments, including faculty, academic affairs, academic committee members, and class committee members. He suggested regularly holding seminars and informational sessions for students to strengthen the promotion and guidance of course selection policies, helping students maintain a strong awareness of course selection requirements.

Dean Cao Ruonan emphasized the importance of promptly introducing the New Student Guide to students upon their enrollment and organizing related seminars on course selection policies. She advocated for enhancing training for academic advisors and clarifying their responsibilities. Each department should hold regular meetings each semester with faculty and students from all grade levels to ensure that students take course selection tasks and their own responsibilities seriously. At the academic affairs level, there should be “process reminders and timely warnings” to help mitigate risks at various levels.

This meeting summarized the undergraduate teaching work for the first half of the year and proposed optimization plans to address relevant issues, thereby promoting the rapid and steady development of various college initiatives.
