The teaching work meeting for English (Country and Region Studies Specialized Program) Class of 2025 was held in the School Conference Room on the afternoon of September 11, 2025. Presided over by Dean Cao Ruonan, the meeting was attended by all teachers and staff of the experimental class's course teaching team.
First of all, Teacher Li Tie, Director of the English Department, briefly introduced the background of the establishment of the Country and Region Studies Specialized Pilot Program, its curriculum setup, and the formulation process of the teaching plan, based on the university's “Double First-Class” Initiative goals. Subsequently, Dean Cao emphasized the importance of the program establishment and put forward several requirements for the teaching work. As teachers of the specialized program, they should possess a high level of professional quality and sense of responsibility, and actively encourage and help students understand the positioning of professional value, the direction of the country's emerging strategic layout, the importance of language learning, and clarify their personal development directions. To this end, teachers of the course team should fulfill their respective responsibilities, strive to achieve differentiated cultivation as much as possible, clarify teaching and assessment requirements, and fully support students' growth and discipline development. Finally, the participating teachers conducted further communication and exchanges on relevant curriculum and teaching issues.
