1. Enhancing Top-Level Design and Implementing Comprehensive Employment Responsibility

Since the formulation of the Plan of School of Foreign Languages to Promote Full Employment for Graduates, the school has firmly implemented its measures at all levels. Efforts have focused on precisely assessing students’mindsets and employment progress, effectively integrating resources within and beyond the university, and employing multiple strategies to address challenges in student employment. These actions aim to meticulously advance employment efforts and support students' long-term development.

On the afternoon of March 22, the school held a joint Party and administrative meeting to thoroughly implement the requirements of the university’s March Employment Work Promotion Meeting for the 2024 graduating class. The meeting, chaired by Party Secretary Wang Jun, specifically addressed the employment work for the school’s 2024 graduates. The meeting established a work plan assigning primary responsibility for undergraduate employment promotion to the Party Secretary and Deputy Secretary, while the Dean and three Associate Deans are tasked with engaging with graduate advisors to drive graduate-level employment efforts. Clear objectives and key priorities for the next stage of the school’s employment work were outlined, further solidifying comprehensive employment responsibilities across all staff members.

On the afternoon of March 20, the school held a graduate advisor work meeting, presided over by Dean Cao Ruonan. During the meeting, Dean Cao announced the School of Foreign Languages Plan to Promote Full Employment for Graduates and provided a detailed explanation of the sections specifically related to graduate advisors’ responsibilities in facilitating employment.

2. Expanding Partnerships with Enterprises and Promoting On-Campus Recruitment

On March 12, the school's employment specialist, Ma Shengbo, joined representatives from the Schools of Mathematics, Physics, and Literature in discussions with Huanggang Jinghe School in Xixian New Area regarding internship and recruitment opportunities. Following this, on March 14, the School of Foreign Languages collaborated with the School of Mathematics to host a dedicated recruitment event for Huanggang Jinghe School.

On March 13, New Oriental International Education visited the school to discuss graduate recruitment. Liu Jianbo, the head of student affairs, shared an overview of the school’s graduates and employment initiatives. Both parties reached a cooperative agreement on recruitment efforts and employment internships. Following the discussion, a dedicated recruitment event was held in the Second Classroom Lecture Hall, with over 50 students attending the presentation and actively submitting resumes.

On March 27, Xi’an YuRi Software Co., Ltd. visited the school to discuss graduate recruitment. Both sides explored potential collaboration in graduate employment and internships. Employment specialist Wang Kun provided an overview of the school’s Japanese language students. Subsequently, a dedicated recruitment session was held in the Second Classroom Lecture Hall, where Fang Si, head of Japan-specific recruitment at YuRi Software, introduced the company’s hiring needs. Graduates from the school’s undergraduate and master’s Japanese language programs attended the presentation.

3. Advancing Employment Work and Enhancing Career Planning

On the afternoon of March 18, the school organized a career planning guidance seminar to further prioritize employment guidance. During the seminar, employment specialist Ma Shengbo shared experiences and provided detailed advice on career choices, further education, and studying abroad. The event was attended by undergraduate students from the lower grades.
