Speech of Mr. Kingching in the Second Lecture Hall of School of Foreign Language

        On December 1th, Mr. Kingching, a famous Japanese calligrapher and seal cutting experts, did a wonderful report titled "The Origin of the Japanese Culture" in the Second Lecture Hall of School of Foreign Language. The dean Prof. Hoover gave a opening speech. The teachers and students participated in this event.
  Mr. KinChing, a famous seal cutting expert in Japan, has made 13000 seals until now. He had made seals for Japanese royal family for more than 20 years and he had also made seals for Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone and for Fujiko F. Fujioriter, writer of Dora A Dream . For 35 years, Mr. KinChung went in Xi'an every two years. He serves as head of Xi'an International Calligraphy Seal Cutting Exchange Exhibition Committee. Mr. KinChung declared in his report that the origin of Japanese culture in fact derives from Chinese culture of the Tang and Song dynasties after he analysed People's way of thinking,daily performance,culture and art in Japan. He suggested that Chinese students should learn from their own classical and traditional culture.
  Mr.Kinching worships Chinese ancient culture so much that he always carry a book Cai Gen Tan with him, appealing to sthdents to pay attention to deportment and etiquette and to learn ways of self-cultivation and philosophies of our life mentioned in the book. Mr. Kinching then have a discussion with us to talk about the right writing methods of Katakana and some notes by handwriting calligraphy.
  Finally, the lecture is over in warm applause. After the speech, Mr.Kinching have a lively exchange with our teachers and students in terms of Japanese teaching and calligraphy.
