The academic paper entitled “Metaphor Information in Macmillan English Dictionary for Advanced Learner: Presentation & Effectiveness”, produced by Yang Nan, the young teacher working for School of Foreign Languages, Northwest University, is published in International Journal of Lexicography on October, 2015. This paper systematically combed the presentative form of Metaphor Information in Macmillan English Dictionary for Advanced Learners from macro and micro aspects, and it exerted the empirical research method to verify the effectiveness of that, which would probably have certain enlightening significance in promoting the cognitive development of dictionary compiling for learners. Above all, it was the first time that our faculty had published an article in authoritative periodical which can be retrieved by both SSCI and A&HCI.
International Journal of Lexicography was created by EURALEX in 1988, belonging to the linguistics journal under Oxford University Press.
