Recently, the Ministry of Education has made an notification about employing the Dean of SFL, Prof. Cui Yaping as the Committee Member of the Ministry of Education for English Majors Teaching Steering, and she is the only one in northwestern universities. The term of service is from April 1, 2013 to December 31, 2017.
The Teaching Steering Committee is an expert team employed and led by the Ministry of Education. Its main responsibilities are doing research, giving consultation, conducting guidance, making evaluation, and offering service to the undergraduate teaching in institutions of higher education. The members of this committee have been carefully chosen by the administrative departments, universities, and related associations.
