The 18th Shaanxi Foreign Literature Academy Seminar was held in Xi’an International Studies University on November 18th. The headmaster of Xi’an International Studies University, Hu Sishe, the president of Federation of Social Science, Yang Fan, as well as more than 70 experts and scholars have attended this seminar. Besides, 24 universities including Northwest University, Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an Jiaotong University have also participated in this seminar. Prof. Hu was reappointed as councilman and gave a speech of “The current situation and confusion in modern life---A study of the wasteland consciousness in the Deserted City and Sister Carrie”.
