Around 7pm Aug.31, Wang Qiang, Secretary of SFL committee, Kang Lianke, Vice Secretary, Hu Zongfeng, Vice President, Zhao Zhengping, Vice President, and Student Instructors Anhui, Wang Haibo, and Cao Zhi paid a visit to freshmen in their dormitories.
Visitors get acquaintance with details of freshmen’s board and lodging and adaption to the new environment, and offered advice that they have to fend themselves and learn self-management, interpersonal communication and mutual respect and help. They were also encouraged to turn to instructors or leaders for help if necessary. Besides, freshmen were told to be fully prepared for the coming military training which was considered a compulsory course of national defense education and steeling of students’ discipline concept and willpower. Freshmen, on the other hand, showed their determination to adapt themselves to the new environment and improve the language proficiency and comprehensive quality. The growing fine acquaintance between them made somehow lonely freshmen feel at home.
