An earthquake of magnitude 7.1 struck Yushu County in Qinghai province on April 14th. All Chinese people are concerned with the condition there, including teachers and students in our college. All of us feel sorrowful for what happened to people there.
On the afternoon of April 20, our college organized a donation event for Yushu as called upon. Teachers and students donated altogether 9475 Yuan in only 3 hours, in which 6070 Yuan came from teachers and 3405 Yuan came from students. The donated money will be used in the reconstruction of quaked zones in Yushu.
We hope the people there can recover from this disaster as soon as possible with the help of Chinese people all around the world.
