SFL held a work meeting of foreign teachers for the new semester

    On March 15, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., the special meeting for foreign teacher management in the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year was held in the school’s conference room to enhance foreign teacher management. The meeting was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan and attended by Vice Dean Li Mi, Dean’s Assistant Xu Na, Foreign Affairs Secretary Chen Juan, directors, vice directors of English, Japanese, and Russian departments, as well as foreign teachers.

Dean Cao Ruonan delivered a speech to the teachers present, briefly summarized the teaching work of foreign teachers in the previous semester, and deployed the work of foreign teachers in the new semester from teaching, research, management, and assessment perspectives. She emphasized that teaching is of paramount importance, called on foreign teachers to prioritize teaching, abide by teaching records, and continuously improve their teaching skills under the guidance of department leaders and foreign teacher supervision.

To encourage foreign teachers to fully participate in the construction of the school, Dean Cao Ruonan announced several incentive policies to encourage foreign teachers to participate in student guidance, cultural salons, and regular exchanges while completing teaching tasks. The school strongly supports foreign teachers to participate in various academic exchange activities, encouraging them to actively participate in academic conferences, academic publications, project applications, and other research work according to their research directions.

During the Q&A session of the meeting, the leadership of the school, department directors, and foreign affairs secretary provided answers to the questions raised by foreign teachers regarding teaching issues. Finally, Dean Cao Ruonan expressed high expectations for the work of foreign teachers in the new semester, and emphasized  the importance of communication and exchanges with foreign teachers to ensure the smooth progress of teaching and research work.
