The 3rd academic workshop for SFL teachers successfully held

The Third Annual Academic Workshop for Teachers at the School of Foreign Languages was successfully held on September 27, 2023, in the school's conference room, in accordance with the overall work arrangement for the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The workshop was attended by a total of 29 participants, including Dean Cao Ruonan, Associate Dean of Academic Research Su Rui, and faculty members from the school. The meeting was chaired by Associate Dean Su Rui.

The theme of the workshop was "Experience Sharing Session on Project Application". Teachers who have already obtained project approvals this semester shared their experiences in applying for projects, including topic selection, project justifications and the application process. Dean Cao Ruonan, along with teachers Bao Hui, Li Siyuan, Cheng Tian'e, Associate Dean Su Rui, and teacher Mei Zilin, shared their experiences in successfully applying for various projects, including the Annual Project of the National Social Science Fund, the Youth Project of the National Social Science Fund, the Youth Project on Humanities and Social Science Research of Ministry of Education, the Annual Project of Shaanxi Provincial Social Science Fund, the Base Project of Shaanxi Provincial Ethics and Teacher Morality Construction, and the Special Youth Project of Shaanxi Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Research.

Dean Cao Ruonan encouraged teachers to align with the national development trends, respond to national development needs, build confidence in academic research, learn with an open mind from others, and focus on improving the quality of research.

In her concluding remarks, Associate Dean Su Rui emphasized that our school will rely on the actual research situation of Northwest University and the School of Foreign Languages, respond to major national needs, adopt a principle of maximum project applications, and achieve breakthroughs in paper publication through organizing related workshops and classes. Additionally, by inviting experts and national project hosts to conduct project demonstration and writing, we aim to achieve new breakthroughs in application of national-level projects.
