On the new journey ahead, Zhao emphasized that the faculty and staff of our school must seize opportunities, rise to challenges, work together with determination, and continuously open up new avenues for the school’s development. They should contribute even more to the great cause of national strength and the rejuvenation of the nation.

Amid the century-long journey of Northwest University, marked by both challenges and progress through reform and opening-up, the foreign language discipline has continuously advanced, revitalizing itself with new energy. With renewed spirit, all faculty and staff of the School will move forward together, continuing the school’s fine traditions, responding to national needs in international communication, cultural translation, mutual learning among civilizations, and country and region studies, and striving to advance the school’s high-quality, in-depth development.
