Our SFL held the All-staff meeting

On the afternoon of February 26, 2025, our school held the all-staff meeting attended by the school’s party and administration leadership team and all faculty. The meeting was chaired by Zhao Zhihou, the Secretary of the school's party committee.

During the meeting, Liu Jianbo, the Deputy Party Secretary of the university, made comprehensive arrangements for student affairs. He stated that employment work remains one of the key tasks for student affairs, and the school will integrate resources from all parties, take various measures, and actively respond to employment challenges, striving to improve the employment rate of graduates and ensure the achievement of established goals. He emphasized that spring is a season with a high incidence of mental health issues, and all faculty members need to strengthen daily communication with students, closely monitor students’ psychological status, and collaborate with student affairs staff to strengthen campus safety measures with a focus on mental health. In addition, the school will vigorously promote the one-stop student community construction to meet students' diverse growth needs.

Associate Dean of Teaching Li Ming made arrangements for the education and teaching review and evaluation work. She emphasized that the evaluation process has entered a critical sprint period, and all faculty and staff must unite and work together to ensure there are no mistakes in the evaluation process, delivering a high-quality response to both the school and society. In the face of the trend toward digital and intelligent education development, Dean Li encouraged faculty members to innovate actively, use AI tools to optimize teaching design, pilot the “AI + personalized tutoring” teaching model, enhance classroom interaction, and improve teaching effectiveness. She also advocated for faculty to seize various training opportunities to continuously improve their teaching levels. Regarding teaching competitions, Dean Li noted that these events are an important platform to showcase the school’s teaching achievements and encouraged faculty to prepare in advance and make new breakthroughs.

Associate Dean of Research Su Rui made arrangements for the new semester’s research work, covering five areas: project applications, research team building, achievement awards applications, academic exchanges, and university student summer camps. She encouraged faculty to leverage their professional advantages and join research teams, actively participate in project applications, and expand their academic horizons through diverse academic platforms to enhance the school’s academic influence.

Associate Dean of Administration Yang Ying first welcomed the new full-time student counselor Wang Yihan on behalf of the school. She also reported on key administrative tasks, detailed the progress of the “Two Important and Two New” project applications, and conveyed the school’s latest personnel system measures. She emphasized that all faculty and staff must strictly follow the corresponding systems and processes, avoid improper practices and arbitrary adjustments, and ensure the smooth progress of the school’s work. Regarding the public housing reform, she stated that the school would, according to the university’s requirements, quickly introduce supporting management measures, optimize office space allocation, and upgrade key office spaces such as archives rooms and confidential rooms to provide strong logistical support for teaching evaluations and other school work.

Dean Cao Ruonan provided a detailed report on the 2024 faculty and staff performance evaluation, offering an in-depth analysis of the school’s current key tasks in teaching and research and its future development direction. She stated that Northwest University’s academic discipline development pattern is undergoing profound changes, and the school is facing numerous opportunities and challenges. To this end, the school will build a resource-sharing platform to assist faculty members' growth, support their involvement in research teams, and help tackle research challenges. Furthermore, Dean Cao provided a detailed interpretation of the personal development paths and reward and performance distribution plans that teachers are concerned about, addressed the key issues that faculty care about, building consensus for development, and motivating all faculty and staff to contribute to the school’s growth.

Finally, the Secretary of the school's Party Committee Zhao Zhihou made a concluding speech. He emphasized that the school’s party committee will do the best to create platforms for growth, providing support in areas such as teaching, research, and career development. He also stressed the need to create a clean and positive working environment, further smooth communication channels, and encourage faculty and staff to take the new semester as a new starting point. He called on everyone to focus on their duties, take on responsibilities, and closely align their personal development with the school’s development, pushing forward the school’s endeavors to new heights.
