On the afternoon of September 11, 2025, a teaching work meeting for the 2025 English (Specialized Country and Region Studies Pilot Program) cohort was held in the faculty meeting room. The meeting was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan and attended by all the teachers and staff of the experimental class course teaching team.

Professor Li Tie, Head of the Department of English, first provided a brief introduction to the background of the establishment of the Country and Region Studies Experimental Class, the curriculum design, and the development process of the teaching plan, based on the university’s “Double First-Class” initiative. Subsequently, Dean Cao emphasized the significance of launching the pilot program and outlined several key requirements for the teaching. Teachers of the pilot program are expected to possess a high level of professionalism and responsibility. They should actively encourage and assist students in understanding the professional value positioning, the emerging national strategic directions, the importance of language learning, and the clarification of their individual development paths. To achieve this, each member of the teaching team should fulfill their respective roles, focusing on differentiated cultivation, clarifying teaching and assessment requirements, and providing comprehensive support for both student growth and the development of the discipline. Finally, the attending teachers engaged in further communication and exchange on relevant course and teaching issues.
