At 4:00 PM on September 24, 2025, the School held the foreign faculty work meeting for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year in Conference Room 503. The meeting was attended by Zhao Zhihou, Secretary of the School Party Committee, Cao Ruonan, Dean of the School, directors of various departments, and foreign faculty members from the English, Japanese, and Russian departments. Aiming at strengthening the management and communication within the foreign faculty team and further promoting the development of international education, the meeting was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan.
First, Secretary Zhao Zhihou acknowledged the hard work and remarkable achievements of the foreign faculty over the past year. She clarified the teaching discipline and professional ethics requirements for foreign faculty, reminding them of key considerations in teaching and student interaction to ensure the smooth implementation of the School’s international education in the new semester.
Dean Cao Ruonan provided a comprehensive arrangement for the semester’s work. Regarding student management, foreign faculty are required to strengthen classroom discipline and strictly adhere to the School’s specific requirements for examination design, ensuring that grades reasonably reflect the performance of students at different levels. Additionally, the Dean encouraged foreign faculty to actively participate in School activities, such as academic seminars and exchanges, and to guide students in establishing correct values through their teaching. Vice Dean for Teaching Li Ming explained the methods and specific measures for classroom management and student communication to the foreign faculty.
During the meeting, department directors engaged in in-depth exchanges with the foreign faculty regarding their respective departmental work plans. The foreign faculty expressed their commitment to fully leveraging their professional expertise, actively cooperating with the School’s teaching reforms and development, and providing high-quality educational services to students.
