SFL Holds 2026 Review Meeting for National Project Proposal

On the afternoon of March 18, the School of Foreign Languages held a review meeting for 2026 national project proposals in Conference Room 503, chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan. The meeting was held to improve the quality of national project applications, accurately grasp the key points of project application, pool research strengths, optimize proposal ideas, and strive for new breakthroughs in the 2026 national social science project application.

The meeting specially invited Professor Li Lin from the School of Foreign Languages at Shaanxi Normal University and Professor Hu Junliang from the School of Philosophy at Northwest University to provide professional guidance. The university attached great importance to this demonstration work. Vice President Han Zhibin, Wang Sifeng, Director of the Office of Social Sciences, Li Fengqing, Deputy Director of the Office, and Huang Xinyi, Section Chief of the Project Management Section, attended the meeting and provided guidance.

During the meeting, 10 faculty members of the School of Foreign Languages delivered presentations covering the significance of their selected topics, research approaches, innovations, research foundation and other relevant aspects. In light of the current review criteria for National Social Science Fund projects, the two experts conducted in-depth reviews and precise guidance on topic refinement, theoretical framework construction, research method optimization and document standardization, and put forward targeted and actionable revision suggestions. The attending leaders fully affirmed the organization and outcomes of this demonstration meeting. They stressed that it is essential to attach great importance to the application for national-level projects, further strengthen problem orientation and quality awareness, continuously polish the application documents, and effectively boost the competitiveness of project applications.

This review meeting has provided critical guidance for faculty members to further improve their application materials and enhance project quality, and is of positive significance for advancing the high-quality development of the School's research work.
