Mid-spring brings lush, vibrant growth. On April 15, 2026, the Track and Field Games of Northwest University 2026 Sports and Culture Festival kicked off grandly at the stadium of Chang'an Campus. On this dynamic field, the faculty and staff team of the School of Foreign Languages stood out as a brilliant highlight, with full enthusiasm, high morale, and a spirit of unity and progress.

At the opening ceremony, to the stirring rhythm of the Athletes' March, the faculty and staff phalanx of the School of Foreign Languages marched past the rostrum in high spirits, clad in uniform sportswear, with neat and synchronized steps, chanting the slogan "Victory for the Foreign Language School". This slogan is far more than a rallying cry; it embodies the faculty and staff's relentless dedication to teaching and education, and their commitment to bridging China and the world in academic endeavors.

In the subsequent team events, the "Foreign Language School Dart Team", composed of Teachers Zhang Zuomin, Zhao Mingxing, Liu Xian, Zhang Biyun, Gu Yan and Hang Zhengfang, delivered a focused performance and secured 4th place in the university-wide team dart-throwing event.

Beyond the outstanding team results, our faculty and staff also notched up frequent wins in individual events. Teachers Zhang Zuomin and Li Jinhui won 1st place in the Men's Category C and Women's Category C gateball gate-passing events respectively, while Teacher Zhao Zhihou claimed 3rd place in the Men's Category C of the same event. Teacher Ma Shengbo took 4th place in the Men's Category A long jump; Teacher Gu Yan finished 5th in the Women's Category C golf target-hitting event; Teacher Zhao Zhihou ranked 7th in the Men's Category C football dribbling and shooting around poles; and Teacher Wang Yihan secured 10th place in the Women's Category A 60m dash.

At this university games, the faculty and staff of the School of Foreign Languages not only built up their physical fitness and strengthened bonds between colleagues, but also fully demonstrated the school's strong cohesion and solidarity. Taking this event as an opportunity, the School of Foreign Languages will continue to carry forward the spirit of tenacious struggle, channel the enthusiasm from the sports field into driving force for teaching and education, and devote itself to the new journey of the school's high-quality development with healthier physiques and a fuller mental outlook.
