On the afternoon of April 15, the 2026 Review Meeting for International Innovation Projects of the School of Foreign Languages was successfully concluded at the school’s conference room and Room 604 of West Campus Building.
The meeting was divided into postgraduate and undergraduate groups, with meticulous planning and well-organized execution across all links from pre-event promotion and project application to expert review. Thanks to the school’s full mobilization and the strong support from supervising teachers, both the number of participating students and project applications hit an all-time high. The school received 11 applications from the undergraduate group and 16 from the postgraduate group, exceeding the university’s assigned target and fully demonstrating the strong innovation enthusiasm of its students.
At the review session, each project team delivered its roadshow presentation in turn, with the overall quality of projects significantly improved compared with previous years. The entries covered a diverse range of categories, including language application projects focusing on cross-cultural communication and business practice, as well as language-related public welfare projects dedicated to foreign language education for visually impaired children and language barrier-free services.
Notably, innovation projects under the “Language + AI”track became the highlight of this year’s event. Students deeply integrated artificial intelligence technology with language learning, translation services, corpus analysis and other fields, producing a batch of outcomes with promising application prospects. In addition, multiple projects fully explored the unique value of language as a cultural carrier. Through multilingual communication, environmental protection cooperation and overseas cultural promotion, they vividly interpreted the bridging role of language in cultural inheritance and exchanges.
The judges unanimously agreed that this year’s projects reflect the education outcomes of the foreign language discipline featuring “upholding integrity, pursuing innovation and advancing interdisciplinary integration”, while showcasing the students' sense of social responsibility, pioneering exploratory spirit and solid professional competence.
