On the afternoon of May 27, 2026, the regular meeting of SFL’s research team on “International Communication and Multilingual Interpretation of China” was held in Room 503. He Hua, Associate Dean of Research, chaired the meeting. More than ten faculty members attended and discussed research team building, research topic refinement, and academic output.
Associate Dean He first introduced the School’s overall research layout. She noted that team members should align with national strategies, respond to local development needs, draw on their individual academic backgrounds, and define clear research focuses. She encouraged collaborative innovation, an output-oriented approach, and a regular research rhythm.
Dr. Zhang Jiawei, Director of the Department of Comprehensive Language Teaching and Research, then shared his experience in topic selection and submission strategies for translation studies. He reviewed diverse directions and emerging hotspots in translation studies from macro and micro perspectives, analyzed submission techniques for journals at various levels, shared cases of AI-assisted research, and advocated maintaining research commitment and deepening professional expertise.
After Dr. Zhang’s sharing, faculty held lively discussions on refining research directions and AI applications. They said they would use the opportunities provided by organized research to further consolidate their research foundation, enhance exchanges, and tap research potential, working diligently and innovatively to promote the international communication of Chinese academic discourse.
