On the afternoon of May 29, 2026, a delegation from the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) visited SFL for a school-enterprise cooperation symposium. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on digital foreign language education, faculty research support, student internships and employment, and disciplinary resource co-building, reaching multiple cooperation consensuses and laying a solid foundation for deeper collaboration.

During the symposium, Dean Cao Ruonan welcomed the delegation and introduced SFL’s scale, disciplinary development, and teaching. She noted that SFL has a solid foundation in foreign language teaching and ample potential, and an urgent need for digital teaching upgrading and research capacity improvement, which aligns closely with FLTRP’s development layout. The two sides have broad cooperation space and can achieve complementary resources and mutual benefit. Secretary Zhao Zhihou introduced the overall employment situation of SFL students. In response to students’ employment needs, he hoped to rely on FLTRP’s professional platform and industry resources to build an internship and employment information platform, broaden internship and employment channels, connect talent cultivation with employment, and help students achieve high-quality employment.

Li Huiqin, Assistant to the President of FLTRP and CEO of Unipus, introduced FLTRP’s 40-year business upgrading and transformation. She highlighted FLTRP’s digital-intelligence-enabled learning platform and the U Campus one-stop smart teaching platform, which cover personalized learning, teaching, and research empowerment and can precisely meet the needs of foreign language teaching reform in universities, providing digital support for improving quality and efficiency and reducing burdens on teachers and students.

The two sides focused on faculty research development, discussed ways to implement personalized research support, and reached agreement on foreign language research guidance, project support, and academic resource sharing. They will rely on FLTRP’s quality resources to help improve SFL faculty’s research capacity. They also exchanged views on Country and Region Studies research, CET-4/6 teaching services, and foreign language discipline database development, exploring the use of FLTRP’s digital platform resources to improve teaching, research, and exam preparation and empower disciplinary development.

The symposium clarified cooperation priorities and directions and built a solid school-enterprise communication bridge. Next, SFL will continue to deepen cooperation with FLTRP, leverage quality digital resources and platform advantages, advance digital reform of foreign language education, and continuously improve the School’s quality of education and talent cultivation.
