On the afternoon of June 3, 2026, SFL held a special meeting of its Teaching Committee to conduct a comprehensive review of nearly 130 undergraduate theses from its English, Japanese, and Russian majors. The review focused on thesis quality and formatting standards, covering structural logic, language expression, and citations.
The review found that the overall quality of this year’s theses was good, with some reaching excellent levels; topics were closely tied to practice, and academic standards were generally sound. Thesis review is an important part of ensuring the quality of undergraduate talent cultivation. SFL will further strengthen training on thesis standards and process management, conduct regular spot checks, and continuously improve the quality and academic level of graduation theses.
