Interdisciplinary Research on Contemporary Stylistics from the Semiotic Perspective

Feng Zongxin is a tenured professor of Tsinghua University and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Tsinghua University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Peking University, completed his postdoctoral research at Beijing Foreign Studies University, and was a visiting scholar at Harvard University and the University of Cambridge. Feng Zongxin also served as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2005, he was selected for the Program for New Century Excellent Talents of Ministry of Education.

He has published over 10 original research papers in international journals and more than 30 papers in domestic journals such as Language Teaching Research, Contemporary Foreign Literature, Foreign Language Education, Chinese Translation, Foreign Languages in China, Frontiers of Literary Studies in China and Cognitive Poetics Association Affiliated to CCLA. His authored books include Pragmatic stylistics Studies of Literary Discourse, Theories and Schools of Linguistic (co-authored with Liu Runqing) and An Introduction to Modern Linguistic Schools. He has also translated works such as Castle of Otranto, Either/Or: A Fragment of Life, America Online, Paradoxes and Fallacies and Labyrinths and Magic Squares.
