Qin Hongwu, Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Qufu Normal University, and chief expert of the Key Discipline "Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics" in Shandong Provinc, leads the research direction of "Corpus Linguistics and Translation Studies," a key discipline in Shandong Province. He also serves as an editorial board member of Foreign Language Teaching and Research and holds various positions in academic committees such as chairman of the Corpus Translation Studies Professional Committee of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese, vice chairman of the Discourse Translation and Communication Research Professional Committee of the Association for Comparative Studies of Chinese and Foreign Languages and Cultures, executive director of the Corpus Linguistics Professional Committee of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese, and executive director of the Professional Committee for Foreign Language Discipline Development Research.
His main research areas include comparative linguistics, translation studies, and textual data analysis. Professor Qin has published dozens of papers in core domestic and international journals, authored multiple monographs, textbooks and translations. Additionally, Professor Qin has led and completed several key projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and other national-level research projects. He has received numerous awards for excellent social science achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels.
