Zhang Bisheng, a native of Sinan, Guizhou, is a professor (exceptionally appointed) and doctoral supervisor at Guizhou Normal University. He is primarily engaged in research on the history of science, translation history, intellectual history, and education history.
In recent years, he has presided over three annual projects of the National Social Science Fund. Among these, one key project is currently in progress, and one general project was concluded with an “Excellent” rating. He has also led eight provincial/ministerial-level scientific research projects and other research initiatives.
He has received three Guizhou Provincial Outstanding Achievement Awards in Philosophy and Social Sciences. He has published over 60 academic papers in journals including: Journal of Tsinghua University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition), Fudan Journal (Social Sciences Edition), Studies in Dialectics of Nature, Dialectics of Nature Communications, Studies in Philosophy of Science and Technology, The Chinese Journal for the History of Science and Technology, Foreign Languages in China, Journal of Foreign Languages, Foreign Languages and Their Teaching, Foreign Language Teaching Theory and Practice, Foreign Language Education”(formerly Journal of PLA University of Foreign Languages), Language Research, Contemporary Foreign Languages Research, Shanghai Journal of Translators, Chinese Science and Technology Translators Journal, Publishing Research, Higher Education Exploration, and Journal of National Academy of Education Administration.
Among these publications, some papers were featured as cover articles. Several have been fully reprinted by China Social Sciences Digest, University Academic Digest, and Reprinted Materials of Renmin University of China.
