In accordance with the school's 2025 overall work plan, the 6th Faculty Academic Workshop of the SFL was held on the afternoon of January 13, 2025, in Room 716 of the West Campus Building. Attended by 24 participants, including Su Rui, Associate Dean of Research, and faculty members from various departments, the workshop was chaired by Associate Dean Su Rui.
Themed “Interpretation of the latest research policies,” Associate Dean Su Rui presented a series of newly issued university research policy documents, including updates to the journal catalog, recognition of decision-making consulting achievements, and incentives for high-level research outputs. She elaborated on the implications and specific requirements of these policies for faculty research endeavors, emphasized that the new policies aim to encourage faculty engagement in high-level research activities and enhance both individual and institutional research capabilities. She underscored the school’s commitment to actively aligning with university initiatives by providing enhanced research support, resources, and a conducive research environment. Additionally, she urged faculty members to seize opportunities, embrace innovation, and continuously improve their research competencies to achieve synergy between personal growth and the school’s development. Following the presentation, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on strategies to advance research productivity and improve the quality of academic outputs.
This workshop not only deepened faculty understanding of the latest research policies but also broadened research perspectives, offering valuable insights for future academic endeavors. The School of Foreign Languages will continue to organize such academic events to foster platforms for scholarly exchange and promote sustainable progress in research excellence.
