To comprehensively and deeply enhance the teachers’ project writing skills and effectively support them in achieving a qualitative leap in project application, the School of Foreign Languages held the “The Fourth Pre-Application Demonstration Meeting for 2025 NSSFC Research Grant Program” on the evening of March 28, 2025. This demonstration meeting invited Professor Zhao Baisheng from Peking University to provide on-site guidance. The meeting was attended by Su Rui, Associate Dean of Research at the School, and teachers planning to submit project proposals. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Su Rui.
Vice Dean Su Rui delivered a welcoming speech, sincerely thanking the expert for his tireless efforts in traveling from afar to provide thoughtful guidance on the school’s research work. Six teachers, including Zhang Jiawei and Li Siyuan, gave detailed reports on their project titles, research background, ideas, content, framework, innovations, and key challenges. After listening attentively to each teacher’s report, Professor Zhao Baisheng provided thorough and detailed feedback and guidance. His insights were profound and unique, precisely identifying logical flaws and content deviations in the reports. Drawing on his extensive academic experience, he offered practical and feasible directions for optimization and innovative strategies. Inspired by Professor Zhao’s guidance, the teachers gained a deeper understanding and appreciation of their respective projects.
Subsequently, Vice Dean Su Rui, on behalf of the school, expressed sincere gratitude to Professor Zhao Baisheng for his meticulous guidance. She emphasized that this demonstration meeting was of great significance and that the school would seize this opportunity. A series of targeted training and discussion activities would be organized systematically to fully assist the teachers in absorbing Professor Zhao’s professional advice and optimizing their project proposals. Through these efforts, the school aims to achieve a qualitative leap in its research work, ascend to higher levels, and strive to produce more high-quality, influential research outcomes, injecting new vitality into the academic development of the school.
